Privacy Policy

One 21 operates the One 21 safety platform and One 21 Trusted Circle SMS program. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when it may be disclosed, and the choices available to users and SMS recipients.
Information we collect
Depending on how One 21 is used, we may collect account information such as name and email address, Trusted Circle contact information, mobile numbers supplied for safety features, school connection information, technical and security information, location when a user intentionally enables a location feature, and information a user intentionally submits through One 21. Anonymous reporting is designed to minimize unnecessary identifying information.
How we use information
We use information to operate and secure One 21, maintain accounts, provide requested safety features, administer Trusted Circle consent, send authorized safety and service messages, support users, prevent misuse, comply with legal obligations, and maintain operational and audit records.
SMS and mobile information
Mobile information collected for One 21 Trusted Circle is used to administer opt-in and opt-out requests, send safety alerts and related service communications, provide HELP responses, and maintain consent records. Message frequency varies based on safety events and user activity. Message and data rates may apply.
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Mobile information and SMS consent will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We may use service providers solely to process communications and operate One 21 on our behalf, subject to appropriate restrictions, or disclose information when required by law. Those service providers are not permitted to use SMS opt-in information for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
Trusted Circle consent
Being added by another One 21 user as a potential Trusted Circle contact does not enroll you in SMS. To receive recurring One 21 Trusted Circle messages, you must personally text JOIN to (701) 291-1710 and then reply Y to confirm. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for assistance. SMS consent is voluntary and is not a condition of purchase, account creation, or use of One 21.
Location
Location is used only when a user chooses a location-enabled safety feature. Location may be included in a safety alert only when the user has chosen to share it. One 21 is not a substitute for 911 or emergency services.
Children, schools and sensitive information
One 21 uses data-minimization practices for sensitive safety information. School deployments require appropriate agreements, permissions, retention rules, access controls, and legal/privacy review.
Data security and retention
One 21 uses administrative and technical safeguards intended to protect information. Retention varies by information type, safety requirements, legal obligations, and institutional requirements. No internet or electronic storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices
Users may choose whether to create an account for features that require one, whether to authorize location, and whom to identify as a Trusted Circle contact. SMS recipients may reply STOP to opt out and HELP for assistance. Users may delete their account inside My One 21 or submit a request through the account deletion page.
Policy changes
We may update this policy as One 21 develops. The effective date above identifies the current version.
